How Do You Play The Horse Race Game With Dice?
The goal of the game is to gather the most tokens or artificial money. Every player gets an equal number of cards. There are 44 cards overall since you need to discard the aces, kings, and the joker from the deck.
First, one of the players throws the dice. The sum on the dice signifies the number of horse that must be scratched. That means the horse is removed and everybody who has cards with that number must pay 5 cents (represented in tokens).
The same process goes for the other 3 horses that must be scratched.
Then, every player rolls the dice. The total on the dice determines which horse is going forward. If the dice show the number of one of the scratched horses, everybody with that number card pays 5, 10, 15, or 20 cents, depending on the horse number.
The first scratched horse counts 5, the second one 10, the third one 15, and the last one 20 cents.
When one of the horses arrives at the end, for example, if horse number 7 finishes the race, everybody with card number 7 wins the pot. If only one person has that cards, the whole pot goes to him/her. If more people have it, the pot is separated between them.
